Patrick Jouin

Patrick Jouin is a French designer of international standing. he expresses his creativity both in industrial design and in the decorative arts. having taken part in exclusive projects alongside leading exponents of the world of design, he occupies an important place on the international design scene, where few can operate with the same ease and strength.

the evolution of Patrick jouin the designer and of his studio, Patrick Jouin id, was celebrated in the 2009 monograph exhibited at the center pompidou, and then rewarded with a compasso d’oro for pasta pot in 2011.

Many of his creations have found their way into the permanent collections of museums around the world. for example, the 2004 “solid” collection, exhibited at moma, was the first series of full-scale furniture produced using 3d printing. patrick jouin also works on interior design projects with sanjit manku, through the jouin manku studio established in 2006.

He was born in 1967 in nantes, france. he graduated in industrial design from the école nationale supérieure de création industrielle/ensci-les ateliers in paris, france, in 1992.
